This support section has plenty of material that you may find useful in order to optimize the performance of your Nortek instruments. Other places to look is in the forum, which is quite is large and has many postings that may be of interest to you. Forum articles will show up if you run a search of the site.
Software and firmware upgrades are free for standard product. For licensed software (the type that does not have the name of your product) will require a license code.
