SeaState is the online software offered by Nortek for coastal monitoring of currents and waves using Nortek instruments. The software will collect, process, record and display both current and wave data in real time.

SeaState smallThe SeaState software is designed for on-line applications using Nortek instruments. The software will collect, process, record and display both current and wave data in real time. SeaState accepts both raw and processed data as input and can be used with standard instruments as well as systems equipped with the Nortek internal processing unit  (NIP).

SeaState allows raw and processed data to be displayed in contour plots or as historical time series, furthermore it allows you zoom in and out to get both the overall view and a sense of the details. The layout of the graphical displays is configurable and each individual graph can be customized. All plots can be sent to a printer and selected data can be exported to an ASCII file or to a variety of graphical formats.

The software is capable of all aspects required of a typical on-line deployment.  This includes planning, instrument configuration, communications, processing setup, data output customization and display. A data download scheduler is included to support dial-up modem connections.
