Nortek makes the "Aquadopp", a 3D current meter use in lakes, estuaries, and the open ocean

The "Aquadopp" current meter is a 3D profiler for use anywhere in the ocean.  The instrument comes in three models based on the depth rating of the canister and the acoustic transducers.  All models share the same functional features like:

1) Measures the 3D current on time scales from 1 s to several hours

2) Fully integrated with data recorder and batteries

3) Extra sensors: Pressure, temperature, tilt, compass, and two analog inputs available for user instrumentation

4) Adjustable position of the cell size:
