Vectrino - footprint of distance check

Hi there,

using the distance check of the Vectrino, does the footprint have the same size as the diameter of the sampling volume when measuring velocities, so 6mm?

Hi, nobody has really measured this precisely, but the acoustic nearfied for the 10 MHz Vectrino is quite long.  Our assumption is that the footprint is about the size of the ceramic element out to about 20-25 cm.  Best regards, Atle Lohrmann
