In order to get data to both log locally on your Nortek instrument AND steam the measurements out the serial line you will have to choose "Start with Recorder" under the "On-line" menu item. Remember to also configure you instrument to have wrap around mode on so that the recording does not stop when the recorder is full (it will still send data out the serial line though).
Next you will want to choose "Start Disk Recording" under the same "On-Line" menu. Naturally you will have to select a location to log the data.
The software that you used to configure and start the instrument also has the ability to display the raw measurements. This include the sensor data, current data, and raw wave measurents. These are viewed by selecting one of the tabulated windows in the software.
If you wish to read, decode, and present this data yourself then you will need the "System Integrators Manual," which describes the each of the data structures and how to decode them. Contact Nortek if you wish to get your hands on this manual
