head frequency setup

Posted by kuo at November 10. 2005
A vectrino+ is running well in an xp desktop. However, when I connect it to a win 2000 desktop and click 'start data collection' as b4, a warning says:

The instrument head frequency is 2000 kHz but the configuration is specified for a 10000 kHz instrument.

Please check your configuration parameters.

Also, when I connect it back to the xp desktop, this warning appears. Where can I setup the head frequency? Thanks!

This warning normally only pops up when the instrument has a bad or missing head configuration file or the head has been physically removed from the instrument. To check if the software is able to read the instrument configuration, press the "Stop data collection" toolbar button and check the "Serial no", "Probe no" and "Firmware" reported on the main display screen. Please reply with the above information and also the software version you are using.

I have dismounted the probe and mounted it again. Now it does work well. Thanks!
