battery for vectrino?

We would like to use the Vectrino in the field to take measurements off a dock, but we do not have a power source nearby.  We wanted to check and see if the batteries for the Vector can be used with the Vectrino, or if we can use our own (battery) power sources.

Dear Emily

You can use your own power source for the Vectrino.  A car battery, for example, should work fine.
