Cabled vector probe orientation

I have a vector with it's probe on a cable, and the tilt sensor mounted for operation with the pressure case horizontal.  If I mount the probe so that it is in a downward looking orientation, should the alignment notch on the pressure case also point downward?

Am I correct to imagine that the probe is attached to the pressure case at a right angle when visualizing how the pressure case should be oriented with respect to the probe?

Here is a drawing of the probe.  I hope it makes the orientation of cable probes with horizontal tilt sensor a little clearer.
