Sediments concnetration with ADCP

We have used an ADCP for measure current velocity, but also we want to use it for estimate suspended sediment concentration (SSC). The Nortek Technical Note. 3, give some advice for make sediment measurements, it shows the importance of the particle attenuation in the SSC estimation; but we aren’t sure about how estimate that value? Can someone give us any advice? It exist some kind of table?

Sediments concnetration with ADCP

Hi

Particle attentuation is non-linear so it is hard to deal with if concentation varies significantly along the beam.  This is normally the case in the boundary layer, so this a region where it is difficult to get reliable quantitative information.  There are several papers on this subject within the nearshore community.
