Real Time Data Conversion

Hi,
I am using your current profiler although I have limited knowledge about the same. I have a software working for real time data acquisition from the current profiler.
However, I need the final (velocity) converted data.
I know that Aquapro can do it however, is there a command that can be sent real time so that the current profiler sends me data after performing the data conversion.
Thanks.

Hi,
You have a couple of options here. You can either implement the conversion of the binary data in your software or you can get ASCII converted data directly from the current profiler. If you stick to binary data you get access to all the measured parameters/data. If you select to parse the ASCII output from the profiler you will only get the speed and direction of the velocity bins (ie neither amplitude nor access to the individual vector velocity components).
You can find more information in this thread. In either case you should take a look at our system integrator guide, send an email to inquiry@nortek.no and ask for the system integrator guide and we will send it to you.
Best regards,
Sven Nylund
