Memory sticks replace CD-ROMs
We are pleased to announce that starting 15 April 2009 we will ship instrument software on memory sticks. This replaces the classical CD-ROM, which is coming to the end of its life span as USB memory sticks become both prevalent and easier to install. In addition, the change was becoming a must since many laptops now ship without CD-player as a standard option.
New HR release
We are pleased to announce the release of a new HR-Aquadopp firmware and software version. The release includes an option for extended velocity range, for using only a user-specied number of beams and an improved burst mode. The release has full support for 2 MHz units while the 1 MHz version is still in beta.
Aquadopps are becoming smaller
As part of an engineering effort that lasted for all of 2007, the circuit board inside the Aquadopp and the Aquadopp profiler has shrunk by about 10 cm (4 in). As a result, it is possible to fit the instrument inside smaller spaces and it is easier to integrate the instruments in OEM applications.
