User selectable voltage output for analog sensors

Posted by Jonas Røstad at January 13. 2011
Even from the beginning there was an option of changing between three power levels for powering external sensors from a Nortek instrument. Previously it required moving a resistor to a different position.
With the midlife electronic it got easier. Midlife electronics are recognizable by a firmware version 3.XX or higher. The hardware id is from 5000 for an Aquadopp, Aquadopp Profiler of a Vector and 1000 for an AWAC. The Continental still has the resistor way of changing it.

Just open a terminal emulator and send
OPWRBA for battery voltage (max 500mA)
OPWR12 for 12V (max 100mA)
OPWR5V for 5V (max 250mA)

The command should be acknowledged by ¶¶ as usual.
