Important - software upgrade

We have discovered a bug in the pressure sensor calibration that affects all systems that have been shipped with midlife electronics.  This means Aquadopps or Aquadopp profilers shipped since the summer of 2008 and AWAC and Vectors shipped in 2009.

The bug can generate an error in the offset parameter for the pressure and it affects instruments where the pressure sensor offset has been changed with the Nortek software.  The bug has a very detrimental effect on AWAC data, which relies on the pressure sensor to correctly position the AST window.  For this reason, it is of particular importance to upgrade AWAC software for AWAC that uses midlife electronics.

We have upgraded all versions of the Nortek instrument software.  Please go the support page to upgrade.

If the pressure sensor value is wrong but has been recorded with a positive value (not zero), the data can normally be corrected in post processing.
