Error message during data download

Hi,

We've been getting error messages every time we try to download data from AWAC, using AWAC AST software, version 1.36. The messages are: Error reading data file; Acknowledge not received; CRC Checksun differs; 

Data download is taking more than double the regular time, wich didn't hapened when the equipments were new. We've tried to change the communication cables, and the problem remains. We are still getting the full data files, but it's taking too long, compromissing our deploynment campaings.

Any ideas of how can we fix this?

Hi Pedro,

Something in your communication link must be intermittently bad. Since you get all the data, but after twice the expected time there must be a large amount of retransmitting. Other than bad cables it could be caused by the serial port on the computer, a converter (RS232 to USB?) or a bad driver. I would recommend you to try a different PC.
