PolySync Com Error
Hello,
I'm trying to move my Polysync installation over to a new laptop (Windows 7). I've installed the latest version (v1.19) but when trying to configure 2 probes I received a com error (the probes work fine when connecting to them individually using Vectrino Plus) and PolySync crashed. Now when I restart PolySync I am unable to change the configuration. When I open the configuration dialog it appears to be partially populated with the previous probe settings and the software immediately crashes. If I try to start data recording I get the same com error.
I have tried uninstalling, restarting and then reinstalling PolySync, but still have the same issue. Is the probe configuration stored in a file somewhere? I suspect I need to delete in order to be able to sort the configuration out.
Screen shots are attached.
Thanks,
Mike
Dear Mike,
We have one more report of this behavior, but cannot recreate it at our office. We are working with it and will get back to you when we have a new release available.
Best regards
Jonas Røstad
I am also trying to install polysync on a new windows 7 machine. I am recieving the same error messages and shut down problem. Was error this ever resolved and if so how?

Dear Jim,
We are working with this and are planning to make a new release soon. I will let you know when I know when.

Dear Jonas,
Thanks for the response. Is it possible to get an older version of
polysync temporarily that will work on a different version of windows?
We have tried the new release on a number of machines and had no joy in
getting it to work. The old laptop we have with the working software is
windows XP and running Polysync 1.0.17. We could boot Windows XP onto
the new machine and run a slightly older version of Polysync on that?
Regards,
Jim Kerr
