Software version in compatible ?

Hi,

It sounds to me that the different version of AquadoppDW are not compatible. I have programmed an instrument AQD with AQDW version 1.29.The instrument was deployed for 10 months. During the time deployment, in order to prepare others AQD, i updated the AqdDW from 1.29 to 1.31 (the last available) and
unfortunately erased the  v1.29.

When I connected on the instrument back from sea, and willing to get the instrument planning I had the message: "instrument programmed
with a different version; use the default configuration".

I have tried to start from the CD (v1.28) but I have also the same message.

Is that a normal behavior ?

How can I get the  version 1.29 which is supposedly working fine witth my instrument ?

Thanks

Hi,

This is normal behaviour and an extra security to avoid firmware/software incompatibility problems. Though annoying, it only applies to reading back the configuration from the instrument with a different version than was used to program it. You can use the new softwaref to retrieve and convert your data files without problems. Information about the deployment configuration settings used is available in the converted header file (.hdr).

Best regards,
Oistein
