Beginner questions

Hello,

I'm beginning to start a project that will involve measuring jet velocities in a tank for the purpose of investigating mixing characteristics of the system using some of acoustic velocimeters. I was looking around the support website and the user guide trying to find a "best practices" kind of guide for setting up sampling volume, sampling rate, data analysis, etc and was coming up short handed. I was hoping some of those far more familiar with these things could point me in the right direction, if such a guide exists. Thanks in advance.

To my knowledge nobody has written the guide you are looking for.  Too many different applications, I suppose.  Also, there is a wide body of published articles about jets and how they can be measured.

From a practical point of view, jets tend to generate strong turbulence so it is usually best to use high velocity ranges when you configure the Vectrino software.
