Aquapro 1MHz and 2 MHz

Up to Deployment

Aquapro 1MHz and 2 MHz

Posted by Julie Maraud at May 06. 2010

Dear,

I'm working on a data set collected by an aquapro1Mhz and an aquapro 2Mhz (rigth angled).

The current data were collected every second. The two currentmeters were spaced by 1m and they also were synchronized and both were oriented upward .

Do you think it can exist some interferences?  I could have to do the same deployment. Do you have any advices ?
(the main objective is to have the full current profile on the whole water column with a high frequency)

Thanks for your help

Julie

Dear Julie

We have no experience that would suggest that there is cross-intereference between 1 and 2 MHz Aquadopps. The main reason is that the transducers do not respond to sound coming in at a different frequency than the resonance frequency.
