Unable to set time or start deployment on 1MHz AquaPro
I removed a working aquadop profiler about a month ago for service.. upon re-installing it today I was unable to get past setting the time and start deployment.. got an error "Command failed! (GetClock)" then the time dialog comes up and after that get "Command failed! (SetClock)". Odd part is I was able to send a break and get the normal response "AQUAPRO NORTEK.....". Also puzzling is I was able to run and calibrate the compass with no problem. This was using an older version of Aquapro 1.31 which I never had an issue with before so I downloaded 1.35 with the same result. I tried two different serial adapters, same ones I have always used with no major problems. Also tried two laptops, one was the same unit I have used dozens of other times in the past. Last I updated the firmware from 1.15 to 1.17 which didn't help the problem either. I am at a loss.. what else can I try? I can communicate with the instrument remotely "little slow" but functional. Any help would be greatly appreciated and save a rough offshore boat ride! Thanks
Hi Paul,
Open up the terminal emulator and send the command RC (Read clock) - what is the response? Is the response stable or is it intermittent?
Do you have another cable to test with?

very odd.. I can send a break but dont get a response to the RC command.. I can get one from BV "26 86 06 06" or 9.86v if I am correct.. yes this was a used pack but was only needed to run the remainder of its deployment "roughtly 2-3 months". RTC failure? How could this happen?
